THE HUNTER HOUSE

DINK AND SMASH ZONE

Building a Pickleball Community

Our Founders’ Story

Inspired by the Hunter region of New South Wales, a second home for founders Al and Margaret and the origin of its name, The Hunter House, now under the umbrella of One Megal Inc., was born from a vision of community, dedication, and the love of pickleball. Here, the sport isn’t just a game; it’s a way to connect, compete, and create lasting memories.

What began as a simple storage facility quickly transformed when Alvin, the co-founder and brother, suggested building a single pickleball court for friends to gather during leisure hours. Skepticism soon gave way to excitement, and within days, a second court was added to accommodate partners and spouses. What started as casual play quickly ignited a passion for pickleball that spread like wildfire.

Without a formal launch, visitors began walking in, drawn by the energy, camaraderie, and love for the game. Within a month, UPCC Director and Australian Coach Mat Monty joined as an official training coach, laying the foundation for The Hunter House as a premier center for coaching, skill development, and competitive play.

The Hunter House

In just six weeks, a vibrant community had formed, and within three months, growing demand led to the construction of four new premium courts, giving players of all ages and skill levels the space to train, compete, and enjoy the sport together.

Together, the three founders, Al, Margaret, and Alvin, have combined their passion, leadership, and vision to grow The Hunter House into a hub where players are empowered, friendships are built, and the sport of pickleball thrives. Every swing of the paddle reflects their commitment to excellence, community, and the joy of the game, making The Hunter House a home for everyone who walks through its doors.
